On 1 July 2026, Scharnhauser Park was once again transformed into a huge sports and adventure park for children. A total of 1,400 primary school children from Ostfildern’s seven primary schools took part in this year’s Children’s Sports Day and enjoyed a varied day full of exercise, games and shared successes on the site of the former State Garden Show.
The event is organised every year in early July by the Kindersportschule Ostfildern e. V. As a long-standing main sponsor, Elektror once again supported the organisation of the event this year.
The children were able to put their skills to the test at a total of 84 stations. Twelve game stations – ranging from ‘Dwarf Hat Toss’ to ‘Brave Pufferfish’ – provided plenty of fun. Eight quiz stations tested the children’s knowledge of Ostfildern, whilst four Kniffel stations also required a bit of luck with the dice.
Around 120 dedicated pupils from the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium, the Realschule Nellingen and the Erich-Kästner-Schule ensured that everything ran smoothly. Together with PE teachers and coaches from the Kindersportschule Ostfildern e. V., they supervised the numerous stations.
