The distance is roughly equivalent to the straight-line distance from Ostfildern to Islamabad in Pakistan. This impressive result was achieved by colleagues from our sites in Ostfildern, Plüderhausen and Waghäusel between 13 June and 19 July 2026 as part of this year’s STADTRADELN. In doing so, they not only contributed to their own health, but also to climate protection.
Particular mention should be made of the champions from each site:
- Ostfildern: Jochen Rückauer with 1,076.6 kilometres
- Waghäusel: Anton Gareis with 518.3 kilometres
- Plüderhausen: Faruc Hodic with 95.9 kilometres

About STADTRADELN
STADTRADELN is an international campaign run by Klima-Bündnis Services. The aim is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible within 21 days, thereby promoting cycling, climate protection and quality of life in local communities. In 2025, more than 1.2 million people from 3,013 local authorities took part in the campaign and together covered around 237 million kilometres.
